    Hi Folks,

sort of new to C4D and I would like to explode some text so that the particles are (or become) daiseys. I’ve been trying to do this in AE with Shatter and BCC4 3D image shatter, but not pleased with the results. I know EXPLOSION FX in C4D is pretty easy to use, but is there a way to make the explosion particles daiseys??
    thanks,
    -Tim

It’s not possible with the explosion deformer directly, as it just blows up polygons, but you could might be able to use it in conjunction with Thinking Particles by placing the particles on the polys. The easiest way to do it would be with the MoGraph module.

I think the best way to approach this would be a combo of MoGraph and Thinking Particles – place the cloned daisies with MoGraph on a text object, then link them to TP forces to make them “explode”. At any ratre it’s not going to be as easy as using the ExplosionFX object.
