Text Effect question…?
I’m trying to create the effect of text being “scratched” on, sort of in the way you do a grave rubbing with a crayon and some thin paper, but I guess the inverse of that because I just want the text to appear with the rough edges as it appears. I did a sample in Photoshop of the look, but achieved it with specific brushes that aren’t available in After Effects (or at least I don’t now how to get to them).
Any help would be much appreciated it.

Try AE’s Paint – on a Black Solid using White Ink. Then use Roughen Edges to get the edgy look.
