    Text Effect: Inverted color with background

    Hi,

    I’m wondering if I’m missing an easy option to generate the following effect in PS CS6:

    I want to generate the same look, that I get, when I select a text in a comp. When selecting the text, its color is inverted and so is the background surrounding the letters. It looks a little like the label maker effect, except that the letters stay flat and the background is effected.

    I realize that there is a work around with drawing rectangles and all, but it seems, that this should just be a single click much like the “bold” or “italics” effect. Am I missing something?

    Difference or Exclusion blending modes will invert the colors and gray scale.
