Text Animation with multiple Compositions AE Tutorials
I’ve seen a lot of videos like this one this one and would love to find some tutorials on how it’s done, specifically how it appears to seamlessly move through what seems to be different compositions. I have enough of a basic understanding of AE that I feel like I might be able to figure out how most of it is done on my own, but would appreciate it if someone could point me in the direction of any specific tutorials showing how it’s done the right way (instead of me half-assing my way through it and taking 10x longer than it probably should). Basically just a formal lesson in that concept and how to properly/efficiently execute it is what I’m looking for.
This tutorial on videocopilot covers a few of the concepts and pre-comping techniques, but if there’s any other ones out there people are aware of I’d appreciate it…Thank you!

Two things to consider:
Planning is more than half of the work- storyboarding everything and making the flow clear from the beginning will help you plan your animation and will enable you to slice it into segments that can be then pieced together bu transitions (example from the video you posted – grey paper background with vignette dissolves into white background with same vignette, or black element fills screen and moves to reveal next segment)
Creating your elements in a vector program like AI and then converting them to shape layers will enable you to zoom in and out without any quality loss and the manipulation of the shapes themselves in AE.Besides the above, good animation and a few effects should finish the job.
