    Hi
I’m new to After Effects … just started a few days ago
I am editing a template … It is a video clip
I added some text but when I preview it the texts won’t stay where it was placed … it follows throughout the video
Not sure what I’m doing wrong … but i’m sure there is a simple answer
    Thank you in advance

Check the text layer to see if there are any keyframes.

What I had to do was set it as a 3D object to stop it from following the camera movement that was already programed in the template. When I did that it would move the layer in the middle of the canvas and make it very very small therefore I manually dragged it and scaled it. Now everything works fine.

In order for that to work I erased my true comp duplicator layers and restarted that section. I had no idea where the layers where moving to before I restarted everything when I hit 3D because I could not see them.

I realize this might not be the most efficient way of doing it but hey I’m a noob and it works YAY!
Thank you for the fast reply
