i can’t get my text to be in 16:9 it always comes into the sequence as all squished up… any ideas?

my settings are just dv-pal with 16:9 aspect ratio…
i am just using the text from within fcp and editing it into the sequence…adam

Are you monitoring this on a PAL video monitor? Your FCP manual has a series of diagrams that show you different options to hook up a TV or monitor to your Mac.

no just going off the computer… i don’t see why this should be happening… i just choose text from the pop-up in the canvas window, write the text and edit it into the timeline…
should i perhaps trash my preferences?
