  • Testimonial Question…

Hi, I’m working on a medical video and of two of the testimonials are the doctors Mother and Brother, so I don’t want to use their last names…even though they are actual patients. Is it acceptable to just use first name or would the initial of the last name, give it more credibility? Thanks.

The first name would suffice . The initial of the of the last name is a bit “undisclosed source” looking .

Agreed on just using the first name. You should also make sure that ALL testimonials in your video only have the first name. Mixing naming conventions may look weird and cause the audience to be curious…..which can lead to loss of credibility in what they are watching.

Don’t use names at all. Just put “Actuall Patient” or something similar. Why does the audience need to know their names?
