Freelancetv team has tested this camera. We shooted in two days some material in different light conditions to analyze the camera response. Here are the results.
We use Nikon and Olimpus photographic lenses.

Filmed in 1920 x 1080 25p

Postproduced in FCP in Apple Pro Res 422 HQ
Colorized in Apple Color (minimal retouches)
All slow motions are from camera at 50p.

I definitely see color smearing, like when starting ands stopping film. What causes this on video?

(Or maybe I’m just seeing things I want to believe.)

That’s just a post production effect for style. That said- seems a bit odd to add that particular effect on for test footage, doesn’t match the rest.

I rather liked that plug-in. The whole piece had a Euro-retro feel to it. Exposures were spot on, everything looked pretty natural, somewhat filmic, IMO.

Too bad for the post effects, really take away the use of testing. How else can I tell if the camera is any good or if it has been distorted on purpose?

No effects or denoise added. The only effect is the film burn between some cuts. Was postproduced in Apple prores 422 HQ and color retouched in Color.

…Just ignore the film-burn transitions, the rest of the footage is straight from the camera without de-noising but with color correction. ( I always tweak color as I find it next to impossible to be absolutely spot on every time I shoot at a new location with new lighting )

I fully agree with you. To see how the camera works out side and with ambience light, I have enough.
I would be more concern about judging the quality of the camera on a web video than on the Color Grading or effects in the movie.
