    Hey All

I’m working on a snowboard event TV show for NBC. The delivery spec is 59.94i. We have mixed frame rates in the edit – 60i for event footage for a live feel, and 23.98 for the history vignettes between competitive runs.

We’re editing in Premiere with a 29.97i timeline. It adds the dreaded 2:2:2:4 pulldown to 23.98 footage in the 29.97i timeline instead of adding a proper pulldown. My plan was to run those specific 23.98 shots through Compressor to create 29.97i with pulldown and swap those shots in the conform before color correction.

But I’m wondering, could the Teranex 2D do this? Can it take a 29.97i signal of the whole show and add pulldown to just the 23.98 footage within it? it would be great to just run this edit through a Teranex and then send the Quicktime over to Resolve for grading.

    thanks

Nevermind. I moved the edit to a Mac Pro with a Kona 3, which adds the correct pulldown on the 23.98 shots on the HD-SDI output.

    thanks
