    Hi,

I have the following problem with Vegas Movie Studio 10 Platinum HD: I have a 24-minute movie made of about 100 cuts. All is working fine except that, about at the middle of the movie, the video part of one of the cuts is not rendered: I get a black screen during this cut (5 seconds) — but I get the audio part of it.
Right after this cut, I have another cut coming from the same AVI file, and this other cut is rendered perfectly (video+audio).

Just to make sure I am clear enough, by ‘cut’ I mean a part of the AVI file (obtained by splitting it with the ‘S’ key).

Do you have any idea why this cut is not rendered, while all others are OK, including another one from the same file?

There is no effect applied on it.
When I view it in the preview window, it is OK.
It also looks like the phenomenon happens randomly: the previous renderings of the movie did not have this black screen.

    Thanks for your inputs!!
    Frederic

HOw many, if any, video tracks do you have above it?

Have you tried redoing that segment? Or perhaps putting in another temporary clip to see if it receives the same treatment?
