I’m having trouble getting temporal keyframes to do what I want. I have an Invigorator object that I want to slowly spin (y-axis) and ramp up until it is spinning wildly, then continue to spin at that rate until the comp completes.

I made the first keyframe easy-out, but that starts off way too quickly too fast. So I made the second keyframe a bezier so I could adjust the velocity curve, which is no easy task. Finally got it where it may be acceptable and then added a third keyframe so it continues spinning, otherwise it would stop.

Adding the third keyframes completely alters the second and now I am back to square one. I can’t seem to find a tutorial or even the AE help files to explain how keyframes in general work and so I am asking the Cow community.

After using AE for over 7 years, I still don’t understand variable keyframing. Is there a source or explanation you can offer? Mooooo anyone?

(Spacial keyframes dont seem to be nearly as difficult.)
