  Template Drop Boxes losing media

  Hi all,

  I’m using custom built motion templates (from Motion 4) in my FCP 7 edit.

  The template primarily consists of three stills. I have a large bin of stills within my FCP project, select three and drag them into the template’s three drop boxes. I then repeat about 60 times, each with a different combination of stills.

  The problem is that when I open the same project on a different mac (running identical versions of Motion and FCP), and reconnect the media and templates, all the drop boxes have reverted to an empty state.

  I assumed (!) that the FCP project would store the drop box media information for each template on my timeline and just reinsert all the relevant stills when the project is re-opened.

  Perhaps not?

  Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
