    Technicolor LUT over saturated

    Hi all,

    I’m finding the Technicolor LUT (S Curve) over-saturates my footage (shot on a 7d, with Canon 85mm and 17-40L). I’m needing to dial down the mix to about 25-50%, which then removes some of the detail of the image.

    Is anyone else having this issue?

    Well it all comes down to personal taste doesn’t it. Customize to whatever feels right for you. 🙂

    How do you apply the curve to your material?
    I’m using After Effects with the free Red Giant Plugin LUT-Buddy on an adjustment-layer, so I can reduce transparency of the layer or change the blending mode, if I feel I have to.
