Hello and thanks for reading this. I’m fairly new to this system (1year)and in need of some help. When our current tech guy set this sytem up 1 year ago we have had problems with dropping frames with the AJA Kona box. The tech has asked around and has not been able to come up with an answer why our system rejects the Kona box. Life without that box has been tough. We are looking for somebody who we can hire to look over our system as well as a year round support for FCP. Thanks again for reading – we are at ends wit with this entire system!

Could you provide some details on your set up. Type of mac, OS version, FCP version, Media drive setup, RAM, etc.

Dropped frames are most often caused by conflicts on the firewire bus, or a disk array that’s too slow to capture the codec you are using.

Please be more specific. You mean the AJA IO, or is it the IO LD or IO LA, or even the AJA IO HD.

Vitally, tell us what Mac you are using, what is connected to each port, and what type and make of disk array you have.
