TC Over Firewire on HDX-900
Hello,
I am trying to capture over Firewire into FCP from an HDX-900. I can get picture and audio but the timecode does not come through from the tape. I have found some other posts saying that they can do TC over Firewire.
What might I be doing wrong that it is not coming across?

Figured it out. I found a post that suggested using Non-Controllable Device since the HDX-900 cannot be controlled by FCP. I was having trouble getting my Mac to recognize the camera so I was trying a bunch of different stuff.
After I got a video signal into Log & Capture, I switched Device Control Preset to DVPro HD Firewire and the TC came in fine.
So, the lesson is TC will not come across if the device control is set to Non-Controllable Device.
I’m probably the only person who is ever gonna read this.

There’s many reading this. Now, if you can get TC to come through HD-SDI into FCP, that would be news!
