Hi, I’m trying to export an XML (and and an EDL) from a SD/10 bit UC sequence. The sequence contains 10 clips. 4 of them have regular speed change (not variable). I need to conform in a Smoke/Flame station which generally work very well with XML from FCP.

The problem is that the timecode in and out points of the clips with speed change in the XML are all mixed up and wrong. If I try with an EDL,it does the same thing. Any clue or solutions from FCP gurus?

    Thanks a lot

    Mat

Could you work around this by not doing the speed changes in FCP? Just insert all the media that it would take to perform it on the Flame?

Yes but I would be missing the point of doing an offline editing. If I have to redo the job in the Flame. This is a major problem that should be look after. I’m fighting with project managers who want to offline on AVID because of somewhat basic but important issues like that.

I’m a diehard FCP user but I also know that Avid MC would do that without a glitch.
