  Tascam dr-680mk2: value knob comes loose

  The value knob on one of our tascams has, as the subject says, come loose. Or more to the point, it has fallen out.
  Now, I can see the tracks in which the pegs are supposed to go, and I can also see there’s some of sort slots in the bottom of the well, a few mm clockwise from said tracks.
  My guess is: pegs go into tracks, knob is turned, pegs are stuck in the slots.
  Problem is: when I turn the knob the entire thing turns (as I guess one should expect), and the pegs can’t reach the slots, and the knob stays loose.

  Anyone knows the trick to get it to stick in there? Any tips are much appreciated!
