Why does aja hardware do this?

According to AJA it was FInal Cut that changed. I don’t understand it completely, but they changed something about how FCP polls for decks via Rs422. This little script changes it back.

[Borjis] “Why does aja hardware do this?”

I guess they had to give us something to bitch about, otherwise everything would be perfect and we’d all be asking for new features. Same principle as leaving a mistake in an edited peice so the client focuses on that rather than changing any of the other great edits.

Perhaps they have written something into the drivers to prevent it. I don’t know.
