    Hi,

I’ve got 200 P2 cards imported into my AVID MediaFiles folders.

I’d like to add some sort of information to these clips so that I know which P2 cards they originated from.

I currently have them sorted into numbered bins but it’s not ideal.

I’m finding it impossible to do this. It will not let me modify the TAPE via the modify->source command. It returns back with a framerate exception, source (60) does not match editrate (24).

I don’t really care where which column it holds this info, I just want it somewhere that will carry across to any duplicates of the clips.

    Thank-you as always,
    Aren

    Aren,

First let me say, 200 P2 cards!!! Holy crap!

Not sure why you’re getting that error
[Aren Hansen] “framerate exception, source (60) does not match editrate (24)”
but as far as adding details, I would use the Comment column. The problem is that this doesn’t show up in the list of Headings. So my work around has been to switch to “Brief” view, add a comment in the box (in your case the P2 card #) and switch back to Text view. You now have the ability to add Comment to your Text view – and here is the important part, save the setting. Of course, you will have to copy and paste for every clip, tedious but it can be done.

If any of this is unclear let me know.
