    Hi Guys,

While Transcoding(in RED Cine X Pro) RED Camera Footage, .R3D Files which has REEL ID(Tape Name) is coming properly while transcoding to Avid(DNxHD) Files.

But REEL NAME, TAPE NAME is not coming in the .MOV Transcodes.
    Help Needed.

    Thanks
    Vipin

Sorry…trying to figure out your screen shot… are you asking people in the Avid Forum why Premiere isn’t liking your red cine x transcodes?

Just because you made DNXHD clips, doesn’t make it an Avid issue, if i’m reading this correctly.

MXF contains the TAPE name as metadata in the MXF wrapper and does not use the filename you see at the desktop level. Conversely, Media Composer does not support embedded REEL in a MOV file and will only use the filename. That value is tracked in the Source File column.

    Hi Michael,

But if I transcode in Resolve it’s coming coming Source name File Name.

Is there any option in Red Cine X as like resolve?

    Thanks

If you create MXF OPAtom (not OP1a), and you ensure that REEL is set to filename in Resolve settings, the resulting MXF file will have the filename in the “Tape” column.

    Hi Michael,

Is this possible in RED Cine X transcoding to .mov?

    Thanks

If it did, it wouldn’t matter with Media Composer as it does not support embedded REEL in MOV files.
