Tape Logging Software
I am looking for a program that we can use to log our tapes that come in from the field. The program does not need to be anything fancy, the simpler the better. There is a wide range of people here that have tech skills, I figure if we keep it simple then everyone will be happy.
Requirements:
- It would be nice if this one program could generate tape logs that both Avid (3.0.5) and FCP (6.0) could read.
- The program would need to be able to access our deck via firewire or usb2
- Have both a mac and/or pc version available
- Be able to read time code. I know, that’s a given but I have seen some programs out there that just read the counter. Why? No clue.
Any recommendations on a good program that fits ALL of the above requirements would be greatly appreciated. Maybe there is a program that works for on NLE and then another program that converts it over to the other? I don’t know.
