Tape deck communication. Avid MC v6.5 Matrox MX02Le Sony DVW A500P
Hi Guys
I am having problems communicating with my DigiBeta, it just won’t talk. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

has it worked in the past?
What are you using for an interface cable. Rosetta stone, straight through cable, or usb adapter?
Does Avid see “no Deck” or “unconfigured deck”
What exactly have you tried?
Do you have any other decks that Avid does see?

Thank you but I’ve sorted it now. In MC 6.5 there is a Comms setting which gives the choice of none Matrox etc.
I selected Matrox and there was my problem. Had I selected none (default) I would not have had a problem. It had been wired correctly but I had not used the deck up to now.Mike
