    Noah,

    I have exclusively used the professional series tapes from Panasonic for my DVX100A and have not had any issues.

    Recently, I was “given” some new JVC ProHD 63ME/DVM63 tapes.

    Do you have any thoughts on whether I should use these or not?

    Tim-

    I would not. Tapes are so cheap they shouldn’t be something that could potentially cause a loss of valuable footage. You can easily sell them.
