  • tangential problem with spine align

Posted by Neil James on September 16, 2005 at 4:41 pm

I have an object aligned to a spline(using align to spline expression) – I am animating it along this spline and I need it to follow the spline tangenially – but everytime my object reaches the middle of the spline it reverses its tangent and is then sat the wrong way round. I cant seem to stop this happening

    – I must be missing something obvious

    (I am on Version8)

    cheers

The align to spline expression keeps one vector tangential and one ‘up’ (that may actually be down but it remains consistant). Use a rail spline to get the ‘up’ to point where you want.
