  Taking Velez’s Animated Stroke One Step Further…

  I enjoyed Dean Velez’s tutorial on making the animated stroke. What I’m wondering is if you could add a gradient to the stroke so that the color gets deeper at the edges of the stroke. Does that make sense? Would I need something like Trapcode’s Particular or is there an effect that could be applied to the stroke itself, or possibly an adjustment layer?
