Taking the shine off
Hi Guys,
I wonder if you can help. I’m doing a simple edit for a friend that involves some talking head interviews. I’m quite new to this and unfortunately one of the subjects has a particularly sweaty/shiny face (upper lip and nose especially).
I know it’s a bit like shutting the door after the horse has bolted but does anyone have any suggestions for filters/plugins that may help me with this?I have searched the forums and found references to Electronic Makeup Artist and smoothkit from Re:Vision but these are quite expensive and the posts are quite old so I wondered if people were using anything new?

Very easy to do in Apple Color. Just mask off that one area and pull down the brights. Won’t completely disappear by any means, but you can knock it down a bit.
Colorista is a plug-in for FCP which can also do masking on that one area.
