    Do you have a tutorial specifically on removing hum from an audio track in Audition? I really need to know how to stretch an audio track out, so as to get at a really short section to capture it as a sample. Thanks.

    Apply the Noise Reduction effect

    In the Waveform Editor, select a range that contains only noise and is at least half a second long. …

    Choose Effects > Noise Reduction/Restoration > Capture Noise Print.
    In the Editor panel, select the range from which you want to remove noise.

    Alternatively there are 3rd party tools that can usually do this kind of thing better.

    Such as the X-Hum or the DeHum module in RX.
