    I have completed an editing exercise towards the first part of avid and need to take it in to show my lecturer what exactly do i need to cop and paste to my external hard drive in order for him to view my edit?

    bins? project file? clips? anything else?

    also will it matter im on version 6 and uni use 3. something

    If all your material is on the external drive, just copy your Project folder to that drive and you should be good. The Project file has all the bin info.

    As far as version number. Some effects will not transfer to old versions, but you should be able to open it. (I’m not sure about v.3 – anyone?)
