Takes of different length – Can Event Duration change (causing Auto-Ripple) between takes?
If my takes have different durations, and the shorter one is added first, when I switch to the longer take, it won’t play its full length.
If the longer one is added first, when I switch to the shorter take, it will repeat (loop), or freeze on the last frame (if looping is off) until the duration of the longer take is exhausted.
Is it possible to have the duration change to the proper length when I switch between takes?

No. A take is a single event of constant duration. You can add any media you’d like but the event will always be the length of the shortest media file.
