    System Freezes HELP!

    G4 Dual 1.25
    OS X 10.4.2
    1.5 RAM
    Decklink HD (Software 5.1.1)
    Qtime 7.0.2
    Final Cut Pro 5.0.2
    Capturing from Sony DVW-A500 Dbeta

    My system freezes when it goes into pre-roll to capture or when I go into the capture settings. This happens in both Final Cut/Log and Capture and in Blackmagic Deck Control.

    I’ve reinstalled the Blackmagic software several times. I have moved the card into different slots. I have tried different capture settings ie. Blackmagic NTSC 8bit, Blackmagic NTSC DV. I’ve tried unplugging all cables including deck control.

    I’m running out of ideas. Any help is appreciated.

    Has this ever worked previously? If so, what has changed since that time?
