I’m trying to get a clip to play at the command of a bass drum. Its pretty close but its off. My problem is that even when viewing the time line as close as possible the beat is in between 00;00:21;20 and 00;00:21;21

You can get much more accurate reading if you switch your timeline to Audio Units (arrow in top right of the timeline)

Zoom the timeline all the way in and you will then be advancing sample by sample instead of frame by frame.

BTW, you may also want to do that in the source monitor before putting the audio in the timeline. You will be getting a much bigger waveform, just hit * and create a marker, then match it in the timeline afterwards.

Do you mean that the audio is going frame by frame ? The video of course will only refresh every frame, but you should be able to get sample accuracy on the audio which is really what you are syncing to..
