I’ve been looking all over the internet for a tut on this and still nothing.

Wanting to sync my soundfx to the noise displacement on my object. Would I use sound effector? If so, how?

    Thanks!

Yes, you can use the sound effector. You’d have to do it with xpresso. Basically you would connect the sound effector to a mograph sample effector node. The sample effector’s strength output would be connected to a rangemapper in port, and the range mapper’s out port would be connected to the material’s displacement height port. Then you’d have to adjust the range mapper’s output height to get the desired effect.

Thanks Adam. I haven’t used xpresso yet, so this will be a good time to test it.

That is so sick. I love it. Makes me want to play in 3D all day!

is there any chance you could do one of your super clear video tutorials of this technique (like you did for me with transitioning between textures) if you get the time?

you’d make me a very happy chappy. you are the C4d guru…

    happy holidays to you!
