  • syncing multiple audio tracks to video?

Posted by Larry Watts on January 31, 2015 at 10:34 pm

I’m recording 4 separate channels of audio on a sound devices 664 recorder/mixer separate from my video recording which is a ninja 2 video recorder. (Double sound)

When I select the four tracks of audio plus video and click synchronize clips it only syncs up one channel of audio.

How can I sync all four as separate channels with the video?

I want to be able to control levels of all tracks independently.

    Thanks

Thanks! I had already read it.

    Here’s what I know now:

FCPX imports polyphonic wav files just fine. I failed to expand audio components. When I did I gained the ability to keyframe levels on each wav file just fine! So FC syns just fine to a poly and opens the poly on the timeline.

What I still need is a way to round trip it to apple logic and back if I need more tools.

In the future I won’t let FC “fix” my audio.

    Thanks!
