    Hi,
i shot a documentary and i didnt want to use a clapperboard beacuse i dont want to intervene who im interviewing with, so thats why i can’t set in and out point to sync audio.

Im trying to sync it with some words in the footage and audio records. If anyone know any other way to sync that kind of material, i ll be apreciated

    Thanks

Turn on audio waveforms and zoom in and sync it visually.

Well, the easy answer is to get it right onset to make post easier. Post is not an afterthought.

However in this scenario, I’m hoping that because you had a dual system, you have scratch audio recorded onto the camera. If so, you can use Pluraleyes – it uses the scratch audio as a guide to match up the “high res” audio on the good mic.

Otherwise, this is going to be a manual process. Sucks that 5 minutes onset can cause hours in post, eh?

Without a clapperboard, no. Visually syncing isn’t as time consuming as it may sound though because once you sync the first peak, then you get an idea as to how the whole clip will go.
