I’m syncing audio with video in FCP, and I need some quick help. I imported my video file as an mp4 and my audio as mp3. I cannot, however, preview the video with the audio which I need to do to align the audio with the video. I’ve done this dozens of times on “those other machines” but I’m new to Mac and have been handed this simple job that’s due last month. I’m sure there’s something simple I’m not doing, so please point me in the right direction.

    THANKS!

Niether format is supported in FCP for editing.

You need to convert the video file to ProRes and the audio file to AIFF (48 kHz).
