So, I was working on a file that displays gameplay as well as commentary. However, given my method of recording, I’m expected to sync my commentary up with the video. So, I spent hours doing so and decided to save it as a .veg file in case anything beyond that screwed up. Lucky I did, because for some reason whenever I was trying to crop the video segments, (I split several of them and merged them together for syncing purposes) for some reason the cropping wouldn’t last throughout the entire clip. This confuses me because it -does- last for the entirety of one clip for other videos I’ve cropped. So, how would I go about cropping the entire selection of the clip?

As for the syncing, after failing in cropping several times, I decided to close the program and open it back up. Upon having done so, I opened up the file I was working on and saw that the audio was out of sync for some reason. How did it go out of sync with my simply having opened the file?

I can provide the .veg file if you so request it. I’m not expecting anyone to fix this for me manually, because I plan on doing these videos for a long time. I just need to know -how- to fix these issues.

It sounds like you’ve got some rogue keyframes in your video events (clips).

When you open the pan/crop window for an event, you’ll see a strip along the bottom with one or more diamonds on it. Those are keyframe markers, and at each one the pan/crop parameters can be changed.

In your case, you only want ONE keyframe at the start of each event. Click on that keyframe diamond to edit its settings as required, and delete (right-click on) the others.

As for the slipping/de-syncing of multiple audio events… that shouldn’t happen just by opening a project. Might you have nudged one of more events by mistake, or had Ripple edit enabled (that makes later events also move if you move one event)?
