    Hi:

I shot video with two mini-DV camcorders. While synching for multi-camera, I realized the two clips are off by 1/2 frame. In the timeline, Premier lets you move audio all the way down to “audio units” which would solve the problem except for that the linked video track won’t move less than a full frame. So if you synch the sound perfectly, then the video is off by 1/2 frame. Anybody know any way around this?

    Thanks,

    David

If you unlink the video and the audio then you can move either of them witout it affecting the other. Meaning the audio can move 1/2 a frame which is about 24000 samples (half of 48Khz) the video won’t shift then if it’s not linked to the audio anymore.

    Hi:

Yes thanks. I noted in my post I know I can move the audio. But then it is no longer in synch with the video. I am trying to figure out how, or if its even possible, to slide adjust) a video clip (which includes the audio track) less than one frame on the timeline, in one direction or the other. I am amazed at how I’ve managed to shoot the same event with 4 DV Camcorders and 2 are in perfect synch, the other other two don’t match the 1st two by 1/2 frame…but are in synch with each other!

    Thanks,

    Dave

How did you establish that there is a discrepancy of a 1/2 frame? Video is recorded as 25 PAL or 29,97 NTSC frames. There is nothing in between. You can only move in whole frames.
