  Sync/Delay Issues in low-cost workflows

  Hello there,

  I’ve just come into a production facility where we do live webcasting and multi-camera shoots on a fairly regular basis.

  We’ve always encountered slight issues with Sync/Delay issues between video and audio. I’m looking for a solution to fix this so that, rather than tweaking recordings in post, we know we can always record synced audio and video.

  Our current setup is running up to 3 EX1s and 3 Sony BRC-Z700 through a BMD Atem 2ME while running audio through 1 or 2 Roland LS-9 mixers before feeding a balanced programme feed into the BlackMagic.

  We’ve looked at master clocks, TC generators and in-line delay devices but I have to admit to not knowing enough about studio/live setups to know which way to go. Can anyone give me some advice?
