I’ve been capturing DVcam, from a VPR-45, through an AJA IO via component with an capture offset of -2, set by PROMAX, (but they didn’t buy the audio cables and I think this has something to with this).

I printed to tape (with timecode window -FCP TCR Effect-) and captured it again and I discovered that I’ve been one frame out of sync all this time.

I tried changing the capture offset with no result. I even tried +15 frames!!! Would playback frame offset be a way to solve this, or it just affects Editing to tape?

When I printed to tape never got the same timecode reading as my timeline on the new tape, but after reading this forum I’ve notice that there is some confusion about FCP not been able to generate TC and about editing to tape through the AJA IO. By the way, I’ve never been able to edit to tape.

    Thanks for reading,
