I’m exporting a trailer as a QT for approval and, ultimately, to be posted on a festival site. Everything is and appears to be in sync in FCP, viewing fullscreen. When I export —as a QT Ref using Current Settings— and view, it appears to be out of sync a few frames. If I send it off to anyone else they also see a slight sync issue.

I know there may be settings questions not covered by my listed system specs, but rather than second guess, I’ll wait them out.

    Any ideas?

If you export it as a QT reference is it still out of sync?
    What if you reimport it?

Jeff, it is when I export it as a QTRef that it appears to be out of sync. When I bring it back in it appears to be in sync. This is only a couple of frames, but there are a lot of talking heads so it looks bad.

How odd. It’s showing problem in QuickTime, but not in the NLE when exported and reimported?

Does it exhibit problems in QuickTime full?

Sorry Jeff, got busy on other things today. Yes, it shows the sync issue when exported full on my computer or if sent to another. It’s not drift; it simply seems to be a couple of frames out. For my purposes at the moment it’s not enough to be problematic, but I’d like to know what’s going on before I have to export something of consequence.
