    Hello everybody

Does someone meet this sync problem ?
When I capture in Uncompressed 10 bits about 95 minutes of video and 4 audio tracks on a Xsan server attached in double fibre link I very often a difference between the TC attached to the digitized file and the programme on the tape.
For example, if a scene change is at 10.20.00.00, in my digitized file the scene change will be between 1 and 3 frames later. Which is VERY ANNOYING of course to have a reference file !!!

    Many Thanks,

    Fabrice

Does this happen all the time, any other tape, or just with this? Is it a DF tape? Is the TC offset even across the entire capture or does it drift? If so a quick fix is just to Modify->Timecode and you don’t have have to trash your media.

Have you tried capturing in smaller chunks – common wisdom says a 95minute quicktime file isn’t the best way to digitize – maybe in 10 minute chunks.
