sync problems from P2 to FCP
I shot 720-24P native HD footage on P2 today. When I transfer it through log and transfer in Final Cut Pro, they open completely out of sync. I also opened the QT files on the actual hard drive and they too were out of sync. In fact, the audio drops out altogether. The P2 cards are fine in the raw. They play back beautifully, but I can’t get them into FCP. I’ve never had this problem before and I’ve been working with P2 for several months now. Help!

Wish I could help you…I haven’t heard of this. I’d try P2 Log or HD Log and see what it did…but I have those, you don’t…do you? Gosh, the only suggestions I have are for the MXF native software readers, like MXF4QT and Calibrated and Raylight too…demos of any of them available?

The problem was that the advanced pull down was checked in Log and Transfer and that was causing the sync problems …. DOUG BEAL…. Thanks for responding to my post. Hope you are good. JP
