Sync problems digitizing component in media 100 HD
I constantly have this problem. Sometimes it works, sometimes the pictures are unsync, sometimes they become unsync & blue” ! I’m using a DSR 40 VTR (DVCAM). Usually in media 100i, i use the composite output to sync. In HD, it is apparently not enough. Do i need a black burst ? I’m not very familiar with sync problems. What is the regular way for connections ? Any help appreciated.

I sometimes have sync problems when mastering HD (but in SD) to my DSR 20 DVCAM through the composite connection. I am only doing this so I can project a rough cut in a big picture to judge the film subjectively prior to mastering in HD but it is puzzling. This does not happen on every occasion though.
