Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Sync problem

    Hi,

I have footage in the Time Line with in-camera sound. When I play the clip, however, the sound plays at normal speed but the video lags behind and is jerky.

This is keeping me from syncing sound recorded on an external recorder to the video. Suggestions?

    Pat

What is the codec of the video footage?

    Is .MOV a codec?

No. .mov is a container, like .avi, inside the container could be any of a number of codecs. If your movie file is h.264, you will need to convert it to pro res before editing in FCP7.
