Sync Problem
We have a final cut pro 5 with the Aja Kona II board. Since we are still mostly an analog shop, we are converting the SDI signal in and out of the box through a ProMax converter made by Convergent Design. The problem is that on playback sound and image will randomly go out of sync. We can not figure out why this happens, but if we close and re-open final cut, it solves the problem, at least till it starts happening again. This happens every day, often multiple times. We have loaded the latest drivers for the Kona II, but it gave us no satisfaction. Has anybody else experienced this? Is there a solution?

FWIW, I capture Beta SP all the time thru my Kona2 card without these problems, but am using AJA’s mini converter to do it… might be the fix, dunno… https://www.aja.com/d10a.htm Audio is coming in from the Kbox…
