I have two days camera and audio, a tentacle sync was used so we could post sync with timecode in DaVinchi Resolve. However the Audio / Cam TC is 4 sec 15 frames out on every clip. So how to fix this quickly is the question.
There are no handle lengths when you sync with timecode, the connection to the original media is broken. If there was I could pull the audio tracks in the timeline and manually snap the edits back together.
Is there a way to batch reset the timecode on all the audio by 4 sec 15 frames? Or will I have to do all the footage one clip at a time.
Also the sync to waveform doesn’t really work that well with the footage, it’s documentary and most of it was exterior so the camera’s on board mic scratch track has too much wind noise.
I’ve not had to do this but look at clip attributes to see if you can apply an offset on the timecode. Is so then you should be able to select multiple clips and batch offset their timecode by the constant you have identified. I’m not at my machine to check this is possible but check that first.
Sound Devices used to have free software that enabled changing various attributes of audio files. Check their website to see if that is available and can also batch change the sudio files timecode metadata to batch change the timecode with an offset
