Sync issues
Hi Everyone,
It seems at random when I leave FCP, go into another application, and come back into FCP my sync is off on my external monitor and the canvas. However, the clip appears to be fine. The only way to really correct this issue is by leaving FCP, going into another app, and coming back until the sync is normal. Anyone have any ideas what is causing this?
I’ve trashed prefs and made sure all frames is checked on external video.

Did you set your audio output to follow video?

I appreciate the quick response. Yes the audio is set to follow the video. It happens at random which obviously makes it more difficult to diagnose.

Gotcha. The only other thing I might check is if in your user preferences, you deactivated the “Stop Playback on Dropped Frames” but since you recently trashed your preferences, that probably isn’t it, since I believe it defaults to stopping on dropped frames.
