I’m looking for an easier way to sync the footage from two Canon XH-A1s cameras. I do a lot of two camera event shoots and am currently just syncing up the two angles manually…a painstaking process at times. Is anyone familiar with an easier way? I edit with Premiere Pro CS4. Any advice would be great!

When we do multi camera shoots without genlocked timecode, we just use an old fashioned film slate with a clapper.

It’s not much effort to put each camera’s clip on a different track, and the waveform from the clapper makes it very easy to sync the footage in your timeline.

You probably have figured it out, but make sure your audio waveforms are turned on. . . .
