I can’t fine an audio sync command for syncing audio clips while they sit in the timeline. I work in multicam and I’m given an audio file that has been worked on to replace the existing one. Premiere Pro has a audio synchronization command that will do this. Can’t find one for DR15.

This is one function that I love about Davinci Resolve as the manual lining up is great, but the auto sync can be found by going yo the media page, select both your video clip and audio clip, right click and select Auto Sync based on Waveform. This will replace the audio in your video clip (non-destructively). You can also select “based on waveform append, which will add the the new tracks. You can view the results by right clicking the video clip, clip attributes, then audio tab.

But I do not see how you sync audio clips in the timeline like you can in Premiere Pro.

I don’t think you can to it in the timeline as such, but the media pool way of syncing the clips should get what you want, i.e., external audio synced and part of your video file, with a caveat though!!

I noticed, and reported a bug to BMD on this very issue. Refer to this post I made, and follow my own workaround.

    https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/277/42231

In short, once synced correctly from the media page, and given the workaround has been done as well, you can then just duplicate the audio track of your video clip in your timeline, right click and select the source audio channel you require (if you want more than one source audio, you could just select the synced track from the drop down on clip attributes)

Let me know if you think this would be better explained by video and I will do a quick screencast / tutorial.

I assume your goal is to have synced external sound for your clips, and this method will achieve that.
