    Hi everyone,

I’m building a 747 in C4D r10.5 and found that the left and right weren’t matching up properly when I came to texture it. So, I used the knife tool and the deleted the right-hand side then dropped the polygon shape into a symmetry object. A few tweaks and the whole thing looked OK. But when I went to reapply the texture file I’d been working with, the writing was now flipped on the mirrored side.

Is all lost, or is there a way I can keep the symmetry yet not mirror the texture?

Don’t know (or am not remembering) if there are any plugins or something in the toolset that would be simpler but you could duplicate your left-hand side, scale it -1 in the appropriate axis, then drop the halves into a Connect Object. That would give you two separate texturable but seamless parts
